INDEX Dubai – International Exhibition for the Middle East and North Africa
September 15-19, 2019 Dubai World Trade CentreDubai, UAE host the largest international exhibition for the Middle East and North Africa - IndexDubai, part of Middle East Design and Hospitality Week 2019 dedicated to interior design. This is the biggest design exhibition connecting architects, interior designers, developers and procurement professionals with new brands, start-ups trends, and the biggest international names in interior and furnishing across all industries.
The exhibition was opened in person by the Emir of Dubai - Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates. During the three days, it was visited by more than 50,000 visitors from more than 76 countries.
Bulgarian Booth
One of the most remarkable participants, applauded by the audience, was the Bulgarian Interior and Product Design Studio - SiDesign. It was represented by an eng. Simona Groszewska, with her partners Carbon Touch Ltd, Furniture Robels and Studio Kork. They introduced several products with original design: "The Loop" help desk, "The Help Me" help desk, and the undeniable favorites - two innovative products handcrafted from the high-tech material carbon fiber - "Hats off " fruit bowl and a carbon fiber sink for bathroom.
Simona has participated in a number of international design fairs, including Milan Design Week. In addition of being a proven interior designer, she is a photographer and yoga instructor. At the Dubai exhibition, Simona again showed style and class, with the Bulgarian booth being one of the most colorful and memorable in the exhibition. It was visited by a number of local and foreign design and architecture professionals, top Emirates executives and several other airlines representing one of Saudi Arabia's largest construction trusts - Awtad Al Akaria and others.
Bulgarian participants were also among the few invited to a working breakfast organized by the Consul General of the Netherlands in Dubai, HE. Mr. Hans Sandei, who also took the time to visit Bulgarian exhibitors and exchange ideas and opportunities for future partnerships.
