Carbon Fiber in Aerospace
Since the beginning of 2015 Carbon Touch is working on the development of a modular carbon fiber structures for CUBE SAT micro aerospace satellites.
First prototypes were presented during the 7th Nanosatellite symposium and the 4th UNISEC – global meeting which took place in Varna Bulgaria from 18th until 23rd of October 2016.
With a weight of just 1/3 of the currently used aluminum CUBE SAT structures, the prototypes immediately grab the attention of the worldwide aerospace dedicated community, mostly by showing in real the incomparable advantages of the carbon fiber as a structural building material. The applications of carbon fiber in aerospace industries become wider in the last years and will grow in the near future.
